PESTBOUND on Kickstarter: an open-world voxel survival shooter from a solo developer
PESTBOUND is an online open-world survival shooter for PC, set in a 4 km² voxel world scarred by the plague. It is developed by Patrick Hackl, the solo developer behind HACKLWORKS in Germany – and you can now support its development on Kickstarter.
What is PESTBOUND?
The world is still here – the people are not. You explore forests, roads and abandoned settlements, search houses for food, water and equipment, and build somewhere to call home. The plague has left infected creatures roaming the streets, so a quiet search through a house can quickly turn into a fight in the doorway.
- Survival every day: hunger and thirst, hunting, fishing, cooking by the fire and treating your wounds.
- Base building: gather materials and build your own base – alone or as a shared home with friends.
- Vehicles: find a vehicle, keep it running with fuel, batteries, spark plugs and wheels, and reach new parts of the map.
- Voxel destruction: cover can break, explosions leave debris and a damaged wall can change an encounter.
- Your way to play: solo or with friends, on PvE servers without player combat or on PvP servers where other survivors can become a threat.

Why Kickstarter?
PESTBOUND is made by one person. Kickstarter lets players who want this kind of survival game help fund it from the beginning. Every backer, every wishlist and every share helps an independent game get seen.
Where can I play?
PESTBOUND is coming to PC on Steam. The Steam store page is coming soon – until then, the Kickstarter campaign is the best place to follow development. Answers to common questions are in the FAQ.
