PESTBOUND is an online open-world survival shooter for PC. It is set in Vorna, a 16 km² voxel world depopulated by a plague, and is developed by HACKLWORKS in Germany. A release on Steam is planned.
The game
Players start on the coast and explore forests, villages, towns and military areas in search of food, water and equipment. Infected roam the map, and on PvP servers other players are a further threat.
Current features
- Survival: hunger and thirst, body temperature, bleeding, fractures and illness; fishing and cooking.
- Looting: houses, shops and military sites with searchable furniture, cellars and bunkers, and a grid inventory.
- Vehicles: rare and usually incomplete – wheels, battery and spark plugs must be found, fuel refilled and damage repaired.
- Destruction: bullets penetrate thin walls, axes and sledgehammers break them, and damaged buildings can collapse.
- Events: helicopter crash sites and police roadblocks, a day–night cycle, rain and fog.
- Modes: online in groups with proximity voice chat, on PvE or PvP servers, or offline in a singleplayer world.
A complete overview is available on the features page. Changes in each build are documented in the patch notes.
